As we know, Korean dynasty is influenced by Chinese culture – one of them is writing system. Since the Chinese characters have thousand of alphabet and quite difficult, most of Korean are illiterate. Furthermore, writing and reading skills are mostly being mastered by the aristocrat.

Eventually, King Sejong created a simple 28 words called Hangeul for the sake of his people, although it has been opposed by most aristocrat.

Then I was thinking about my own nation identity. Many people said that our original writing is Jawi. But it has been abolished in 1960′s and substituted by Romanization writing.  All of country matters, including education system are writing in Roman ever since. Even if it was Jawi, I don’t think that is our identity (I am Malaysian). Because Jawi script is based on Arabic words, which is imported from Middle East – during the spreading of Islam in our land by the Middle-Eastern merchant.

After seeking the information on net, I found that our earlier writing was Rencong Alphabet. But still, it was not originally from our land. It’s origin was from India. Now, does my nation really have no writing identity? Should I proud of it, after widely known that our language had loaned many words from foreign language? Plus, we have Arabic influence on our names, words, particular dressing and so on. Yes, majority of Malay are Muslim, but it doesn’t mean we have to be Arab. Let Malay be Malay, let Arab be Arab. Arab is race, Islam is religion – and this religion is not belongs to Arab – but Islam is for all.

Back to the writing, nowadays most of us are using Roman words in daily writing. Jawi script has been forgotten by this generation. Only minority of Malay know how to read and write in Jawi. Including me. Luckily I mastered it when in Primary school (equivalent with Elementary school).

Final examination was started on 7th February and my last paper will be ended on 25th February. Wish me luck! I am now in the middle of depression and emotional stress, due to some “killer” paper. May everything is gonna be cool, and all is well – God willing. If I succeed to go through all of this impediment, maybe this is the last semester I’m in here, after this some mission are awaiting according to the plan. Seeking job, and earn the money – is a part of the plan. Hope all will success.

Seriously. Why should I create any problem with them? I came from the Sunni-Shafie family before totally converted to Shiism in the past 3 years. Most of my friends is Sunni, and the rest is non-Muslim. So far, I haven’t hear any Shia’s scholar (moderate or radical) declare that Sunni are infidels.

Basically, whoever says “There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is His messenger” – I’ll consider he/she as a Muslim and haraam (unlawful) to spill his/her blood. However, I’m already divided the non-Shia to several group.

Sunni

1- Ignorant about the history and doesn’t give a shit about it – this kind of Sunni are mostly in my friends and family list. For me, they are innocent, they are my brothers and indeed they will enter the Paradise.

2- They are aware about the cruelty and injustice of certain Prophet Muhammad’s companion, but they are still defending them (such as Muawiyah – alayhi la’natuh and others). Obviously, but they forgive them in the name of “Sahaba”. – I got a problem with this kind of Sunni group, however I’ll not make enemy with them as long as they didn’t attack or making fitna on my religion. Usually I distance myself from this group and rarely talking with them.

3- Nawasib – a group of Sunni that I hate most. Every day and night they always spreading the fitna and hatred on Shiism. If we talked to them nicely, they will accuse that we are doing taqiyya! Usually they are saying that Shias love killing Sunnis, Shias have another version of Qur’an, etc. In Malaysia, it becoming serious and in my opinion, it is permissible to spill their blood, seize their property and harass them.

Their major mistake is considered that all Shias is same, what Iran government did is the behavior of Shia and all Shias scholars are unanimously. This group is my enemy. Ahl Kitab (Jews, Christians, and Zoroaster) are more better than them. At least, they (Ahl Kitab) never offend us.

Group number 1 and 2, I’m ok with them though I did not pray behind them, but if they are praying beside me, it is ok.

Wahabi

This group are totally the enemy of Shias. They are always attacking Shia and considered Shia as disbelievers. Nevertheless, I know some of them are innocent (ignorant) and they are only become Nawasib if they are truly follow their sect.

In the end, though I already divided into several group, but I do believe that the Unity between Sunni and Shia is IMPOSSIBLE due to the many differences especially regarding faith or aqeeda. And I disagree to many Shia scholars who sacrificed the Shia’s interest for the sake of Sunni. I only believe that all mankind will become one in the time of Imam e Zaman, Muhammad ibnu Hasan Al-Mahdi (ajf).

Shia that I mentioned above is referred to Shia Ja’fari or Twelver. Other than that (Ismaili, Zaydi, Alawi, etc), I’m not considered them as Shia due to their rejection on particular infallibles (especially Ismaili and Zaydi). Of course they are still Muslim as long as they did not do anythings that can make their aqeeda/faith become invalid – such as believe that Qur’an was changed etc.

Islam has various sects or school of thoughts, so do the Christian and Judaism. Islam consists to two major groups, Sunni (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi’e, Hanbali for Jurisprudence, and for faith (aqeedah) is Salafi, Asy’ari, Maturidi, Mu’tazili etc etc) and Shiite (Ja’fari [Usooli, Akhbari and Battri], Zaidiy, Isma’ili, Alawi, etc). We can see that these groups (Sunni & Shiite) has quarreling since more than thousand year ago due to the history factor. And yes, these two Muslim groups has different faith though they worship the same God.

And Christian, as we know they are also divided into several groups – Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox with their own belief. What I want to question is, why the Christians can live together without fighting each other in the matter of religion though they have the different belief? I never see on any websites, blogs, youtube etc about the Catholics condemned Protestant, the Orthodox ”takfir” on both Catholic and Protestant and so on.

I only see this situation in the Muslim world. Starting from years ago, when I still in Sunni until now I am a Shiite, I looking the same situation. One group claimed that they are in the true path and the others are misguided, another group says only their group will be enter Jannah (Paradise) while the others will not safe (what are they think? Are they God to decide who will enter the Heaven and Hell??). This situation occurs in everywhere, every place where the Muslims resides. They are always want to show to all that they are ”the people of the truth”.

There is one hadith by Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) regarding on only 1 groups out of 73 from his followers will safe on the Judgment Day. Sunni claims that they are in the right group, while the Shiite claims that either, and also the Wahabi (Sunni-Hanbali that adopted the teaching of Ibn Abd Wahab, Salafism)! For me and my belief, I do believe that the only 1 safe group in Judgment Day is a group that has ”taqwa” on their God (the Almighty). “Surely that distinguish all of you from Allah is taqwa” (Holy Quran).

I just hope that the Muslim can live in simpler way. Why we have to fight each other because of religion?? The worst thing is when I look at the many Arabian scholars. They arguing like crazy in TV channel only to proves that their ”opposite” is misleading. I feel ashamed to my non-Muslim friends and the rest of non-Muslim world. They will think that Islam is the religion that advocating violence and fights. Just look what happened in Middle East!! Bombs in here and there, shooting, etc – the Muslim leader oppressed the Muslim civilian – Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Yemen, Iran, etc. Muslim killing each other such as in Iraq and Pakistan.

Non-Muslim never differentiate us in several groups, because they are only see 1 Muslim world. They will never consider who is Sunni, who is Shiite and so on. So sad, peoples keep thinks that Arab world is represent Islam, and look what happened in the Middle East country. They are rich and have a lot of natural resources (such as oil) but what happened to their countries? Backward? Chaos? Try to compare with the Western and East Asia country. This time, peoples keep thinking how to invent the new product to become advance, but the whole Muslims keep thinking how to condemn the another Muslim group and prove themselves a the right group.

If this situation keep happens, I couldn’t stop myself from keep cursing the whole Muslim world. Why? Because they make a such beautiful and peaceful religion become tarnished and filthy because of their deeds. Why the Muslims can’t just live in simple, without hatred, prejudice and fitna? Someone used to make the false accusation on me, because of religion.. is this the behavior of the followers of Muhammad (S) and his pure family?

The purpose I write this piece is not to condemn my Muslim brothers, I just want to spill my disappointment,, the language may be upside down, forgive me. Sometimes we have to be cruel in order to be kind

My dear Ayatollah Sadiq Shirazi <3

Shirazi. I’m always pray to God, not to take him too early and let me meet with him. Grand Ayatollah Sayed Sadiq al-Shirazi is from the great family that produces many scholars. I love him so much. I hope he is in good condition. He was recognized and proceed the legacy of his late brother, Grand Ayatollah Muhammad al-Shirazi. I heard now he is in house-arrest. When the first moment I meet him, I will kiss his forehead for blessings. Holy City of Qom was produced many scholars and become a place for seek the knowledge. It’s distinguished around the Shia-Muslims world. Yes, Iran would be my first destination, for vacation, travel and obtain the knowledge. Surely he (Sayed Sadiq al-Shirazi) is a pearl of Islam!

Second place is, London – United Kingdom. Actually I didn’t have an interest with this place, but because of my beloved Sheikh Yasser al-Habib, I have to come there. Sheikh Yasser al-Habib is a controversy Shia cleric, as I mentioned in previous post, he is from Kuwait. And a few weeks ago, his nationality is just revoked by Kuwaiti Government, due to his ceremony and speech, the so-called insulting the Sunni icon. Sheikh al-Habib is also regards the Grand Ayatollah Sayed Sadiq Shirazi is most knowledgeable marja, and now he is still referring to Ayatollah Sadiq Shirazi’s brother, Ayatollah Sayed Mujtaba al-Shirazi, who is also live in London. Every Saturday, Sheikh Yasser al-Habib will deliver his lectures in his Huseiniyya (a place dedicated to the tent of Imam Hussein, during his final life before martyr in Karbala land, this place is for mourn, pray, and give lectures about religion).

Sheikh Yasser al-Habib is very cool. I wanted to meet him, and share many things. One of my Facebook friend told me, every moment he’s with Sheikh al-Habib, he will get something valuable (i.e knowledge). Unfortunately, Sheikh Yasser al-Habib is now being criticized not from another sect of Islam, but also from Shia. He has to give up his nationality for the sake of Islam. I made his album in my Facebook account, dedicated to him. Whoever been with him, would say the positive things. Other than that, I also want to meet my online lecturer, Sheikh Sepanta Mohammad Cyrous, who is also live in London, a France who can speak fluently in English and Persia language. In London, for vacation purpose and to seek knowledge. But I will be there shortly. Because the standard of living is very high compared to my country. I afraid I couldn’t afford it.

Of course there is another place I wanted to visit. To travel and add more knowledge, besides enjoying the creation of God. That is the major proof of the existence of God. If you want to recognize the God, look and ponder to His creation, surrounding you!

For me, Eid in Malaysia is not complete without the “special” traditional dish called “Tapai”. Tapai is fermented glutinous rice mixed with yeast and wrapped with tree leaves. The taste is exactly like Japanese sake. But be careful, you might be something if you eat this Tapai together with coke or soda. This is my favorite dish since I was small. Sweet + sour. Best be consume as a dessert.
